Fingerprints

We are all unique and we all have different fingerprints. We decided to examine them and see what difference we found. We saw splits, cusps, whorls, tigers and zebras. It was really interesting and easy to do. We used a pencil and sticky tape!

Maths Activities

We have been doing some Maths Activities to help us learn our numbers. We used counting trays and put the correct amount of cubes into each section of the tray. We swapped trays so we could do it again and again. We all know our numbers now!

The day I was born

We talked about what we were like when we were babies, what we could and couldn’t do and what we can do now. Everyone in the class with the help of their parents filled out a Birth form with the date and time they were born and what weight they were. They also stuck a baby picture on it and we put them up in our classroom so everyone could admire us and say how cute we were as babies! We also brought in toys and clothes we had when we were babies and one person even brought in a “Dodi”, it was really funny!!

Nature Walk with Ms. Flaherty's Class

We went on a Nature Walk with Ms. Flaherty's class as we have been learning a lot about Autumn in class and we wanted to see what signs of Autumn we'd see if we went on a walk. We noticed that the leaves had changed colours to lovely colours like red. orange, yellow and brown and also that alot of them had started falling off the trees. We gathered some conkers, horse chestnut leaves, ash leaves, helicopters and some blackberries for our nature table in our classroom.

Weather Jigsaws

We have been talking about the weather alot so we decided to make our own weather jigsaws. We coloured in a picture of either a Rainbow, a Raindrop, the Wind or the Sun. We then cut them up into jigsaw pieces and glued them to card. We hope you like them, we had great fun making them!
